CAVOTEC TECHNOLOGIES

LIFT OPERATIONS AT AIRPORTS IN INDIA AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Following the successf l handover of the turnkey project for Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) and 400 Hz systems for the Presidential Flight Hangar Project in Abu Dhabi, Cavotec continues to register a great deal of activity in the region, with recent orders for  the group's Airports market unit across India and the Middle East.

Cavotec is a leading systems integrator and manufacturer in the global airports sector. Its c o m p r e h e n s i v e r a n g e o f innovative ground support equipment (GSE) includes power,  air, fuel and water systems housed in under-ground pits, tunnel systems & caddies. These technologies reduce tarmac congestion, improve efficiency, & reduce environmental impact at the gate, remote stands & in hangars.

Cavotec is currently working on a new, complex turnkey project to design, supply, install, test, and commission PCA and 400 Hz systems, including underground services, for more than 60 remote aircraft parking positions at Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport. The project consists of a large number of Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) stands where Cavotec's innovative equipment will service all types of aircraft, including the Airbus A380.

And for Al Maktoum's expansion project, known as Dubai World Central, Cavotec is supplying more than 100 pop-up pit systems, 75 400Hz converters, and 25 Supercool DX PCA units. The 400Hz systems will be used to power parked aircraft at remote aprons, while the PCA units will be used to quickly and efficiently cool large aircraft to maximise passenger comfort. The introduction of these innovative systems is set to help operators improve operational efficiency, and thereby profitability, & reduce environmental impact.

Last year, Cavotec received a significant order for Supercool DX PCA systems with TAD systems for Dubai Airports' Concourse C upgrade project. Upon completion of this project, Dubai Airports will have all its concourses equipped exclusively with Cavotec PCA systems.

Cavotec is a leading supplier of innovative aircraft utility technologies, and its systems have been used by Dubai Airports for many years at, for example, Terminal 1 Concourse 4, Terminal 2 remote a prons, and Terminal 3 Concourse 2 and 3, and the EXPO Remote Apron. Cavotec has long been a preferred partner of Dubai Airports partly due to its advanced PCA technologies having unique capabilities to cool aircraft – including new, large planes – in Dubai's demanding ambient conditions The  group's latest development, state-of-art 400Hz converters, is a breakthrough for the aviation industry, and the company has already registered significant orders from various parts of the world including Dubai Airports. Cavotec's long-standing and continuing success with Dubai Airports demonstrates how clients and contractors consider Cavotec as a trusted partner to provide state-of-the- art technologies with unique operational capabilities.

Growing presence in the Indian subcontinent and Asia

Cavotec is also steadily growing its presence across the Indian subcontinent. The group recently won several important orders, including for vault access covers and fuel hydrant pits for Mumbai International Airport and the Indian Air Force.

Cavotec vault access covers and fuel hydrant pits are already in operation at Delhi International Airport, Bangalore's Kempegowda International Airport, Hyderabad International Airport, and Chittagong and Sylhet airports. The group has also supplied fuel systems to fourmajor Indian Air Force bases.

In addition to Airports, some of Cavotec's key customers in India include Larsen & Toubro, Indian Oil Tanking, Indian Oil Skytanking, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, MP Engineering, Bridge and Roof Co., Air India SATS, Celebi NAS, Menzies Bobba Aviation, Encon, DASPL, DAFFPL, MAFFFL, Air India, and Maldives Airport Company.

Cavotec is a global engineering group that manufactures power transmission, distribution and control technologies that form the link between fixed and mobile equipment in the Ports & Maritime and Airports & Industry sectors.
