Chief Executive Officer, flyadeal

flyadeal, the Middle East's newest budget airline based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines, has tapped Con Korfiatis, a veteran airline and aviation executive with more than 20 years of experience in a number of senior roles, to lead the carrier to new heights.

Launched in September 2017, flyadeal uses a fleet of eight brand new Airbus A320 aircraft from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) for its flights.

“We are low cost. We are high value. We give you choices so you pay for what you want. We have a generous cabin baggage allowance, extra leg room, onboard shopping and pre order meals.

Fly with just your backpack or indulge in a good seat and a hot meal,” the airline described its services on its website. The chairman of flyadeal, H.E. Mr Saleh Al Jasser, said: “Saudi Arabia has launched its Vision 2030; a strategic platform for the future development of the Kingdom where transportation and tourism are key pillars. The launch of flyadeal is core to the strategy to mobilize further the country and the region.”

Korfiatis said flyadeal aims to serve the kingdom and the region's digitally savvy population “that has an increasing thirst for low fare travel domestically and across the region.”
