Safwat Mosallam

CEO, Egyptair

Safwat Mosallam has been leading Egyptair Holding Company since March 28, 2016 as chairman and CEO.

Mosallam has been with the company for more than 30 years and has held numerous high positions since 1983.

The company tapped him to become its vice president for commercial in 2006 whose main task is to implement their worldwide commercial strategy.

In this expanded role , he was responsible for managing and leading the functions of sales, and developing the strategic economic success of the airline. Planning and monitoring the expenditure overall was one of his main focuses neede d to meet their objectives. It was during his tenure that the airline got the invitation to join STAR Alliance.

In early 2008, Mosallam became the Vice President Alliances & International Relations to play a key role in leading Egyptair Holding team responsible for the integration process to join Star Alliance in the sameyear.

Up to 2010, Mosallam worked on the development of an EGYPTAIR' s Corporate Business Model responsible for alliances, cooperation, aero- political and international organizations associations as IATA, ICAO, AACO, among others.

He holds a BA and MA in Foreign Languages from Ain Shams University in Egypt and Marketing Diploma from Sabina University in Italy. He is fluent in English, Russian, and Italian.
