Ahmed Al Nemah

Acting Undersecretary, Civil Aviation Affairs Ministry of Transportation & Telecommunication, Kingdom of Bahrain

Ahmed Al Nemah currently holds the position of the Acting Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation & Telecommunications and is responsible for overseeing the strategic development of aviation services and regulations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His responsibilities also include developing and implementing open skies policies for the Kingdom, signing air transport and bilateral agreements with nations worldwide as well as heading Bahrain’s delegation at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) General Assembly and other international congresses. Ahmed Al Nemah manages the Air Transport, Air Navigation, Aeronautical Licensing, Aviation Safety and Security, and Meteorology Directorates.

Prior to his current post as the Acting Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs, Ahmed Al Nemah was appointed as the Director of Air Transport and Head of International Relations in 2001. He began his career in the aviation industry in 1978 when he joined the Civil Aviation Affairs as an Air Traffic Controller. 

Ahmed Al Nemah graduated from the Aviation College in Doha, Qatar and obtained a degree in Business Management from the University of Bahrain. He is married with five children.
