Juergen joined the Cavotec Group in 2007 as Managing Director and has since overseen the steady growth of the Group's Middle East, India and Africa operations, having played a significant and key role in marking several major achievements for the company, the most noteworthy of which is Cavotec's milestone EUR 30 million turnkey project for the Bahrain Airport Company, one of the largest orders in the Group's history. 

Juergen also steered the company towards landing other vital projects that helped build the region's aviation industry into the highly-developed sector that it is today. 

Backed by the Group's high-tech Airports Market Unit, Juergen facilitated the adoption of Cavotec's solutions in various airports in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, KSA and Qatar. 

The Group's most recent project under Juergen's stewardship is the supply, installation and commissioning of in-ground pop-up utility pits, converters and PCA units for the new Terminal D at Dubai International Airport, where the latter's previous experience with the Cavotec's technical expertise and customer support played a key role in the awarding of the contract.

With 17 years experience of working in the region, Juergen has helped establish Cavotec into an industry-leading name by drawing from his extensive knowledge of the local and regional industries and developing strategies that correspond with the unique requirements of the Middle East market. 

During his time at Cavotec Middle East, the Group's regional subsidiary, which was established in 1995 and is currently headquartered in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the unit has expanded to employ more than 80 people and has grown its presence in the Region with offices in Bahrain, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Pune, India and Johannesburg in South Africa. 

In 2014, he was promoted to oversee the EMEA Region as Group Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Cavotec, Juergen was a Director Sales & Marketing for ThyssenKrupp Middle East and worked with the Al Futtaim Group as General Manager on engineering projects. 

Born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1970, Juergen has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management. In his spare time, Juergen is a keen sportsman: he is an enthusiastic skier, plays golf and tennis.
