Egyptair Holding Company 

Mr. Safwat Mosallam was appointed Chairman and CEO of Egyptair Holding Company on March 28, 2016. 

He has been with the company since 1983 and has successfully handled numerous high positions in different areas as well as serving in different executive positions within Egyptair Holding and its subsidiaries. 

In 2005, he was appointed general manager for sales to lead the company's sales and marketing team. In 2006, he was named as the vice president for commercial whose main task is to implement the company's worldwide commercial strategy. 

In this expanded role, he was responsible for managing and leading the functions of sales, and developing the strategic economic success of the airline. Planning and monitoring the expenditure overall was one of his main focuses needed to meet their objectives. It was during his tenure that the airline got the invitation to join STAR Alliance.

In early 2008, Mr. Safwat became the Vice President Alliances & International Relations to play a key role in leading Egyptair Holding team responsible for the integration process to join Star Alliance in the same year. 

Up to 2010, Mr. Safwat worked on the development of an EGYPTAIR's Corporate Business Model responsible for  alliances, cooperation, aero-political and international organizations associations  as IATA, ICAO, AACO, among others. 

In 2014, he was chosen to be a consultant for Egyptair Holding chairman and CEO. The following year, Mr. Safwat was appointed chairman and CEO Egyptair Tourism & Duty Free Company till his appointment as Egyptair's chairman and CEO.

Mr. Saftwat holds a BA and MA in Foreign Languages from Ain Shams University in Egypt and Marketing Diploma from Sabina University in Italy. He is fluent in English, Russian, and Italian.
