Ayesha Aziz

India's youngest female pilot

Twenty-year-old Ayesha Aziz became India's youngest female pilot after having successfully flown an airplane at age 16.

The Mumbai-based young pilot said she got her inspiration to fly a plane as a child through their constant travels to her mother's hometown, Kashmir.

After successfully getting her student pilot license in 2013, Aziz was setback in securing her commercial pilot license due to some monetary issues.

She's currently capable of flying single engine Cessna 152 and Cessna 172.

The Kashmiri girl, who was also given the opportunity to briefly attend a program at NASA in the United States, hopes to pursue higher education in aviation and aeronautical engineering.
