Maryam and Erum Masood

Pilots, Pakistan International Airlines

Pakistani sisters  made history in 2016 when they became the world's first women siblings to navigate a Boeing 777 jet together from Lahore to Karachi, Manchester, New York and finally to London.

The two work as pilots for the Pakistan International Airlines or PIA.

PIA Spokesman Danyal Gilani tweeted the sisters' feat, heralding their accomplishment, saying: "Pilot sisters make history for PIA by flying Boeing 777 concurrently.”

The Masood sisters, both first officers, have been flying different planes for a while but finally ended up co-piloting the B-777, the world's largest passenger twinjet aircraft, on August 30, 2016.
