Air Vice Marshal M Naim Hassan is the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
A veteran ﬁghter pilot who has ﬂown various types of BAF ﬁghter aircraft, including the Mi-17 and the Bell-212 helicopter, AVM Naim also served in the Peacekeeping Mission in Rwanda in 1993-94.
Born in 1960, AVM Naim the joined Bangladesh Air Force in 1980 and was commissioned in 1982 from the BAF Academy in General Duties (Pilot) branch. He has attended a number of professional courses both at home and abroad including Staff Course from Defence Services Command and Staff College, and Armed Forces War Course from National Defence College, Mirpur, Dhaka.
AVM Naim completed Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) from the National University and also completed Master of Security Studies (MOSS) from Bangladesh University of Professionals. He has served in various command, instructional and staff appointments in different ﬂying Squadrons, BAF Academy, Flying Instructor School and othersisterand Civil Services.
