BAA training opens new training center in Vietnam

European specialist BAA Training has opened an aviation-training center in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 3,000sqm facility will offer A320 pilot training with four flight simulators. The first group of student pilots will commence their training in August, BAA Training says. By the end of the year, the facility will have an Airbus A320neo simulator.

BAA Training Vietnam will also offer wet and dry leases of its full flight simulators to corporate clients, and plans to add a fire-fighting trainer by the end of the year.

“[The] Vietnamese aviation market has been growing by the average 8% per year and is expected to continue its growth in the upcoming 20 years’ time,” says BAA Training chief executive Egle Vaitkeviciute.

He adds: “With the modern training facilities and equipment, experience and deep know-how, we are ready to accommodate Vietnamese pilots with European standard aviation training solutions.”
