Leading Edge Aviation adds in-house engineering and maintenance division to its growing fleet of facilities

ATPL training company Leading Edge Aviation has added to its growing fleet of facilities with an in-house engineering and maintenance division, Leading Edge Aviation Engineering.

The new facility will be housed in their dedicated hangar at London Oxford Airport and will be headed up by Chief Engineer John Gorran. It will service Leading Edge’s fleet of 14 Diamond aircraft.

Chief Operations Officer Dave Alexander, said, “This new facility will enable us to increase efficiencies across the board, having engineers on site means we can both streamline our regular maintenance and also react quickly to unplanned requirements.

“We’re also delighted that John will be heading up the division for us and look forward to putting his extensive Diamond experience into practice.”

The addition of the new hangar and engineering facility comes on the back of strong growth by Leading Edge who recently announced their new student accommodation block, The Arc. This follows on from its new sim center, Hangar 18, which houses an A320 FTD-1 simulator and two DA42 simulators.
