Leonardo Grants Authorized Service Center Status to Petroleum Air Services

Leonardo has upgraded Petroleum Air Services to an authorized service center, allowing it to broaden its offerings to third-party customers and operators of Leonardo helicopters in the region.

Operating a fleet of eight Leonardo AW139 helicopters, Petroleum Air Services has accumulated nearly 24,000 flight hours since 2009. The company, a joint stock entity owned by Egyptian General Petroleum and Bristow Group, manages 31 helicopters and eight airplanes for various services, including offshore energy transportation, tourism, and aircraft maintenance.Petroleum Air Services plans to expand its helicopter fleet to support new concession rights for offshore oil and gas activities in Egypt’s Red Sea or Mediterranean regions.
