Magnifica Air Reveals First ACJ321neo for 2027 Launch

Florida-based start-up Magnifica Air has unveiled the first aircraft in its planned fleet—an Airbus ACJ321neo—at Orlando International Airport, marking a key step toward its scheduled 2027 debut.

The long-range jet, presented in the airline’s new livery, is the first of four aircraft that will operate in Magnifica’s newly branded “Private Class” cabin category. Positioned between traditional first class and private aviation, the concept aims to blend exclusivity with commercial-scale reliability. Each aircraft will be configured to carry approximately 54 passengers.

The ACJ321neo, offering a range of around 6,100 nautical miles, will now enter a 10-month interior completion phase before being fitted with the bespoke Private Class cabin.

“Private Class is not a product enhancement. It is a new cabin category built around how people want to travel today,” said Wade Black, co-founder and CEO of Magnifica Air. “Bringing our first aircraft into the fleet is a tangible step toward delivering that standard at scale.”

Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1133 geared turbofan engines compatible with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), the aircraft is designed to deliver improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions and reduced noise compared to earlier-generation narrowbodies.

For the airline’s technical team, the delivery represents a critical operational milestone.

“The arrival of our first ACJ321neo is a defining operational milestone,” said Kevin Ketterer, Vice President of Technical Operations at Magnifica Air. “It enables the launch of our maintenance and reliability programs, integrating predictive technologies and dedicated support services designed to deliver the level of consistency expected from a new cabin category.”

Magnifica Air has previously outlined plans for a fleet that will include Airbus A220 and A321neo variants as part of its broader growth strategy. Operations are expected to commence in 2027, subject to certification and cabin completion, with South Florida–New York identified as the inaugural route.

By significantly reducing seat density compared to a standard A321neo layout, the carrier is targeting premium travellers seeking privacy and space on high-demand domestic corridors. Whether the hybrid model can successfully bridge the gap between commercial premium cabins and private charter remains to be seen—but with its first aircraft now in hand, Magnifica Air’s ambitions are moving closer to take-off.
