MSC Saudi, the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) and the Saudi Export Development Authority have signed an MoU to strengthen export logistics in Saudi Arabia by streamlining export procedures and enhancing operational efficiency via key ports, including Jeddah Islamic Port, Jubail Commercial Port, and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
Leveraging MSC’s global shipping and logistics expertise, this joint initiative aims to address longstanding logistics challenges across the Kingdom’s key ports by building a more seamless, efficient, and competitive export ecosystem. It also contributes to the Kingdom’s broader economic diversification as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
Commenting on the agreement, Hisham Al-Ansari, CEO of MSC Saudi, said: “This MoU underscores MSC’s commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s exports through tailored logistics solutions that empower local business to grow. Through our strategic partnership with MAWANI and the Saudi Export Development Authority, we will enable exporters to reach new markets with greater efficiency and confidence. MSC is committed to Vision 2030 and equipping local industries with the right tools to be successful on a global level.”
The MoU is built around three key pillars: operational excellence, comprehensive exporter support services, and strategic development initiatives. Through close collaboration, partners will share best practices, organize specialized workshops and exhibitions, and establish long-term programs aimed at accelerating new economy export growth and linking Saudi companies to global trade opportunities.
