New Aloft Academy to Train Future Aviation Technicians

Recently at AIX 2025, Delaware-based VIP bizliner completions company Aloft AeroArchitects unveiled the Aloft Academy, an in-house training program designed to develop skilled aviation technicians. Targeting local individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, this fully compensated initiative aims to address the persistent skills gap in the aviation industry.

The program is structured to equip participants with essential skills in aircraft structures, avionics, mechanical systems, and interiors. It also covers general aerospace education, regulatory knowledge, and training on Aloft-specific documents, safety protocols, and procedures. Participants are hired as full-time employees from day one and will graduate as qualified aircraft mechanics after six months. In exchange for a two-year employment commitment, graduates receive a complete professional toolbox.

The first class is set to begin in June and will conclude in January 2026, with a second group expected to start shortly thereafter. Aloft CEO Scott Meyer described the initiative as a strategic effort to build a dependable pipeline of local talent. “Our goal is to align operational needs with tailored training content, enabling us to expand our workforce sustainably by equipping high-potential individuals with specialized skills, even if they have no prior aviation experience,” Meyer explained.

Aloft Academy underscores the company’s dedication to long-term workforce development and community engagement, providing a direct pathway to full-time employment in the aviation sector.
