Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, launched its inaugural direct flight from Bengaluru—India’s Silicon Valley—to Hanoi on May 3, 2025. The new service will operate four times a week, utilizing the modern Airbus A321 aircraft. Passengers can look forward to a premium travel experience, featuring comfortable seating, specially curated Indian meal options, contemporary cabin interiors, and the airline’s signature Vietnamese hospitality.
With this launch, Vietnam Airlines is now operational in three key Indian metros—Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru—strengthening its footprint in the rapidly growing South Indian market and marking a major milestone in its India expansion strategy.
The inaugural ceremony at Kempegowda International Airport witnessed a lively celebration with a ceremonial cake cutting, attended by airport dignitaries, Vietnam Airlines representatives, and Aeroprime Group officials. Passengers also had the opportunity to engage in various activities at the airport, including capturing memorable moments at designated photo spots and exploring the art installations that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager India, Vietnam Airlines, said, “South India is an increasingly important market for us, and we are thrilled to commence our operations from one of the most dynamic markets in South India, which is Bengaluru. With Vietnam’s growing popularity among Indian travelers, these new direct flights will offer greater convenience, connectivity, and the elevated service standards that Vietnam Airlines is known for.”
