Tulsi Nowlakha Mirchandaney is the Managing Director and Accountable Manager for Blue Dart Aviation, South Asia’s largest domestic express cargo airline with a fleet of 4 B757- 200 and 3 B737-200 freighters.
She is responsible for the operations of the airline, including flight operations, maintenance and ground handling activities.
Blue Dart Aviation undertakes scheduled operations to India’s seven major metros – Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad and operates charters across the country and within the region.
Tulsi has been associated with India’s aviation industry for over 30 years.
She moved to Blue Dart Aviation from Blue Dart Express, where she is credited for creating and marketing the air cargo products for the launch of Blue Dart Aviation, including major accounts and interline agreements with international airlines, initiating charter services and setting up the accounting, sales andoperations systems for these services.
Prior to joining Blue Dart Aviation in 2008, she was the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Projects for Blue Dart Express.
Tulsi has an MBA in International Aviation from Concordia University, Montreal, and has presented a research paper on aviation education.
